With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, John began his career as a fixed income trader with a Fortune 500 firm. In 2005, John joined Principal® in the retirement division, where he gained valuable insights in designing and servicing retirement plans for both employers and individuals. This broad perspective helps enable him to help others create strategic plans that leverage available resources for a stronger financial future.

John, his wife, Colleen, and their three children stay actively engaged through community involvement, their church, and a wide variety of outdoor activities. Having grown up in Richmond, John developed a deep appreciation for the James River, which sparked his lifelong love of water activies. John now gets to share his passion for the outdoors throughout the year with his family.
